Zook Motors, Inc. is pleased to acknowledge the training accomplishments of our newest Senior Master Technician, David Kibbie. In order to achieve this milestone, you have to put over 500 hours of commitment into classes and training.
Technicians who have gone to the greatest lengths to complete Ford training, are designated as “Senior Master Technicians”. Since this award’s inception in 1999, only a small percentage of Ford and Lincoln technicians in the US have achieved this level of accomplishment. Not many dealerships have Senior Master Technicians and we are fortunate to have 4. Ford Field Service Engineer, Ron Sopko stated, “Zook Motors has as many or more Senior Master Technicians than any of my 28 dealers, which is a great accomplishment, showing the dedication of the technicians to train and the dealership to support their training.” Ron also shared that David is one of the youngest Senior Master Technicians that Ford has.
David started at Zook Motors back in 2013 as a part time employee while attending CTC during high school. After high school, he decided to go to the Ford ASSET Program (Automotive Student Service Educational Training Program) and Zook Motors was his sponsoring/partner dealership. The Ford ASSET program allows students to be hands on right away, while being able to still learn in the classroom earning an Associate’s Degree. Every 6 to 8 weeks, David would alternate in the classroom and with the dealership for two years. During that time at the ASSET program, David completed Diesel classes outside of the program to gain more knowledge and to get a jump start on his diesel certification. After graduating from the Ford ASSET Program, David joined Zook Motors full time. Including his Ford ASSET training time, David has been with us for 9 years.
Everyone at Zook Motors is proud of David and all of his accomplishments! Ken Zook stated, “I have enjoyed working with and training David throughout his career with Zook Motors. David has come a long way since starting with us. He definitely has put in the time and dedication it takes to become a Senior Master Technician and the achievement is well deserved. We have a great crew in the shop and I am proud to say he is a part of it. I just want to say thank you to David for all that he does at Zook Motors and for our customers.”

Zook Motors, Inc. is proud to acknowledge the training accomplishments of our newest Senior Master Technician, Justin Lindquist. Over 500 hours of training and commitment go into this achievement and we are all very proud of his dedication to excellence.

This achievement represents 15 classroom courses and 57 Web courses totaling over 500 hours of training and years of commitment by both the technicians who achieved it and the dealerships that employ them.
Justin started with Zook Motors in 2006 as a part-time employee while still in school and started full time with our dealership in 2008 after graduating from WyoTech, earning his diploma with Automotive Technology with Light Duty Diesel. He has since grown with our dealership and earning the high honors of this Senior Master Technician, only the 2nd ever to earn this at our facility.

Zook Motors, Inc. is pleased to acknowledge the training accomplishment of our newest Senior Master Technician, Dave Smith. There are, 15 classroom courses totaling 15 days of training, 57 web courses with an average of 2 hours each, a minimum of 5 years at a dealership and over 500 hours of training and commitment that go into achieving this and we are very proud of his dedication to excellence.

Dave joins 2 other Master Technicians at our dealership, Ken Zook and Justin Lindquist.
Dave joined Zook Motors in March of 2007 after many years working in the auto industry. His education of the auto industry started when he was in high school and participated in 3 years of training. Also, while in school, Dave started his first job working for JC Penney in the automotive department for a year and stayed with them for a total of 7 ½ years. The business was bought out by Bridgestone/Firestone and Dave continued to work there for an additional 9 years. In 1992, he then went on to work for another local Ford dealership and stayed with them as a technician until 2002. Then, in 2002, he went into a different avenue of the industry and worked as a Snap-On dealer until 2007 when he decided once again to work as a technician and become a part of the Zook Motors team.
